We all know about how important exhibiting at and attending tradeshows are to industry and our own businesses. When entering the pet supplement market, your company will be crossing over into another world, even if there is a natural overlap (natural health products).
The pet product/care industry’s annual convention/tradeshow is the Global Pet Expo. This year, it was held in March, and contained 1,130 exhibitors with 3,437 booths. And, according to show co-producers American Pet Products Association and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), buyer attendance was up nearly 10 percent from 2016 (up 6,761 attendees).
“We had hundreds of new companies at this year’s show and many of them are lost when it comes to working with distributors or setting up a distribution network,” noted Steve King, president of PIDA.
Show organizers also noted that Global Pet Expo 2017 featured more new product launches than any other show in the industry. Winners in the Natural Pet category of the annual New Products Showcase were: NO-HIDE DOG CHEWS (Pork) by Earth Animal; and CannaBoost CDB/Hemp full-spectrum extract by PawFlex, Inc.
As with our own Natural Products Expos that key in on retailers, Global Pet Expo is likewise geared to retailers, followed by distributors and other industry-related entities.
