On May 8, more than 200 golfers from 79 companies came together for the 8th Annual Vitamin Angels Benefit Golf Outing at Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, NJ. The event, cohosted by The Vitamin Shoppe and Nature’s Value, Inc., raised $330,000 for Vitamin Angels, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides nutritional support to children and women at risk of malnutrition globally. The funds raised this year brings the total raised during the eight-year course of the event to more than $2.8 million. At an average cost of $0.25 to reach a child in need annually, the cumulative impact of funds raised over eight years will provide vitamins to more than 11 million children.
“We are so grateful for the ongoing support we receive from everyone involved with this event,” said Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels. “Every year, our guests bring such enthusiasm; their belief in the power of vitamins is palpable, and is making a huge impact.”
Attendees of the event, who enjoyed a full round of golf, reception and dinner, also supported the nonprofit by raising more than $26,000 on site.
