Paragon Laboratories (Torrance, CA) reported it has been re-certified by the Natural Products Association (NPA) for meeting a high level of compliance with association’s standard for good manufacturing practices (GMPs) of dietary supplements.
Paragon Laboratories is a nutritional and dietary supplement contract manufacturer specializing in the turnkey manufacture and packaging of tablets, capsules and powders, reported the company.
“Our business philosophy is to use only the best raw materials to produce the highest quality tablet, capsule, and powder supplements possible at competitive prices, and deliver them where and when they are needed,” said Jay Kaufman, president, Paragon. “We take pride in helping our customers anticipate their future supply needs, and in providing top-quality products and excellent customer service.”
Corey J. Hilmas, MD/PhD, senior vice president of cientific and regulatory affairs, NPA, said it is the only association that offers its members access to two of the FDA’s top former officials in dietary supplement GMP compliance. “NPA is the leader in providing GMP certification and education for the dietary supplement industry since 1999, establishing the industry’s first third-party GMP certification program,” said Hilmas, noting Paragon’s GMP certification extends back to 2001.” NPA’s GMP program ensures that all elements of the manufacturing process are reviewed to verify GMP compliance and provide a level of assurance that the products manufactured by Paragon Laboratories meet their established specifications for quality, including identity, purity, strength and composition.”
Paragon Laboratories received an ‘A’ compliance rating following a recent third-party GMP audit, which re-qualifies the company for GMP certification and use of the NPA GMP logo. The company will continue to be listed on NPA’s list of GMP-certified companies at NPAinfo.org/GMPCertified.
