GCI Nutrients (Burlingame, CA) has  introduced a new technical service from the company’s team of science, food and product development advisory specialists.

This new division was established for GCI’s customers wishing advice or guidance in using the company’s branded nutraceutical ingredients to create their original functional food and beverage products.

Worldwide consumer preference and industry marketing trends note that functional foods and beverages are often the preferred option of delivery for many key nutraceuticals. The growth curve for these forms of products is remarkable and expanding rapidly with unlimited potential and versatility, the company stated.

The GCI team of expert advisers in functional foods and beverages will first discuss a client’s objectives of what ingredients they may be interested in, what health benefit(s) they are targeting, what form of functional food or beverage is the aim (drink, snack, powder blend, gummy, etc.)
