VRM Media Announces Editorial Staff Promotions

East Brunswick, NJ, May 7, 2015 — VRM Media, the healthy business media company, has announced the promotion of two editorial staff members, Janet Poveromo and Shari Barbanel, effective immediately.

Janet Poveromo

Janet Poveromo has been named Editor-in-Chief of Vitamin Retailer (VR), the leading B-to-B publication serving retailers and other members of the dietary supplement industry. Poveromo, who has been with VRM Media since 2006, was most recently the Managing Editor for VR.

In addition to serving as Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of Vitamin Retailer, Poveromo will retain her current title as EIC of the VRM’s Nutrition Industry Executive (NIE), which serves the needs of nutritional product manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.

Shari Barbanel

Shari Barbanel, who first joined VRM in January, 2011, has been named the new Editor-in-Chief of Natural Practitioner (NP), the business magazine for alternative, complementary and integrative health care professionals. Barbanel had most recently been the Managing Editor for NP, while also contributing to VR as well as NIE.

“Shari is a very skilled business editor, and I know she will have a tremendously positive impact on Natural Practitioner,” McSweeney commented.
