Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN), the non-profit spearheaded by a cohort of global nutraceutical leaders, has established itself so quickly in the first year that it’s ready for experienced executive leadership to manage the efforts of the all-volunteer structure. WIN has announced that veteran association management pro Rebecca Takemoto has stepped in to take WIN to the next level as executive director.

Takemoto has worked with many organizations that  operate solely through volunteers, as does WIN. She has experience guiding associations to fine tune operations, focus board and volunteer efforts, and create strategic plans. Her initial priorities are to streamline and focus the volunteers who are executing the various WIN programs, while examining what additional staff may be needed, and how to support board vision and plans.

“I am so impressed with all that has been accomplished since WIN’s inception, and haven’t seen its equal in my 25 years of association work,” Takemoto said. “I am initially analyzing the organization to see where I can help move WIN’s mission forward while streamlining operations. The board has, to this point, been focused on a lot of details that come with the start of any organization. My hope is that I can free their time and efforts to concentrate on vision and strategy. It will be my job to take that vision and turn it into a work plan for 2024 and forward.”
