CRN Celebrates DSHEA Anniversary
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) invites everyone to join them during October to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA).
The celebratory effort will make use of CRN’s online platforms throughout the month of October, and involve consumer education, recognition of champions behind this legislative accomplishment, highlights of significant milestones, and expert insight into how the law has served the industry and consumers, plus what the next 20 years might look like.
Key activities will involve:
- #DSHEA20 Tweet Chat for Consumers: The Myths & Facts of DSHEA on Oct. 22
- Social Media “Throwback Thursdays” on Oct. 16, and 23
- Educational videos featuring CRN leadership
Steve Mister, president & CEO, CRN, said the passage of DSHEA was monumental, for both our industry and consumers, and the council is pleased to dedicate October as its 20-year legacy.
“DSHEA has granted FDA an appropriate regulatory framework, created an atmosphere for industry growth and innovation, and allowed consumers the access they desire to a wide variety of affordable, high quality, safe and beneficial dietary supplement products. We hope the industry will join us in this celebration,” said Mister.
