The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has announced registration is open for its signature industry events, Science in
Session and Now, New, Next. The events return in-person with virtual options, feature keynote speaker Tieraona Low Dog, MD, and tackle challenges facing the dietary supplement industry.
“The conversations and connections that move the industry forward happen here,” said CRN President & CEO Steve Mister. “Science in Session and Now, New, Next are the dietary supplement industry’s opportunities to explore and address research challenges, to examine the trends and influences shaping this industry, and drive innovation—together. Every year, our attendees leave these events enriched, motivated and inspired.”
Focusing on women’s health, Low Dog will deliver the keynote address for Science in Session, taking place on Oct. 19. Low Dog will discuss the unique micronutrient needs of women across the lifespan. Continuing the theme, the day’s sessions will explore a range of women’s health and nutrition topics, such as optimizing sleep health and weight management, supporting eye and brain health, reducing disease risk in post-menopausal women, nutrition for active, pregnant, and lactating women, and sex differences in clinical trials.
Now, New, Next, taking place Oct. 20-22, will be anchored by sessions that examine the disparities in nutrition and what to do about them; tackle the challenges of the changing global economy, and offer insights for the future of the post-pandemic workplace, among other topics. These macro challenges, as well as examination of the range of issues uniquely impacting the dietary supplement and functional food industry will offer provocative and entertaining content to drive innovation, and prepare companies for what’s ahead.
“After nearly two years apart, people want to meet and reconnect with colleagues in person,” said Maya English, CRN’s director of membership, education and events. “New this year, attendees can participate in CRN’s meeting matchmaking for focused networking by providing demographic details when registering.” Attendees can also join an array of group activities designed to further forge connections and build lasting relationships.
Both events take place at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, in Dana Point, CA.
