Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc. (Laval, QC, CA), announced that its Sherbrooke plant ramp-up is successfully completed, with the plant now operating at an annualized production capacity of 150 metric tons.
“Despite a small delay in our ramp-up schedule, which impacted our sales up to now, we are currently operating at full capacity,” said André Godin, interim president and CEO of Neptune. “Product quality specifications are being met and customer shipments of our premium krill oil, NKO, are now underway.”
Godin said with heightened production levels, we are now able to resume our pre-plant explosion sales efforts and are well placed to capitalize on future opportunities and reaffirm ourselves as a leader in the omega-3 nutraceutical market.
“This is an exciting time for Neptune and we remain focused on driving profitable growth by selling premium products, expanding our offerings and reach and leveraging our intellectual property,” said Godin
