NIE: Natural Remedies recently introduced Ashwa.30. What is Ashwa.30 and what benefits does it offer?

Suresh: Ashwa.30 is a next-generation, root-only ashwagandha extract developed using proprietary BioActive Optimization Technology, or BOT. Clinically studied to deliver results at a low dose of just 30 milligrams, it’s standardized to contain 30 percent Ashwa Bio Active Complex—a blend of withanolide and ATP-active fractions, each under 15 percent.

Ashwa.30 has been shown in clinical trials to improve cardiovascular endurance, with participants experiencing a 10 percent increase in VO2 max compared to placebo. It also supports stress reduction, with one study showing a 38.5 percent drop in salivary cortisol after just seven days.

The extract has undergone extensive safety testing, showing no mutagenic effects or acute toxicity, and it offers notable liver-protective properties. Its mechanism of action is well defined through systems biology testing, which shows that ATP-active fractions target energy pathways while withanolides help regulate the body’s stress response via the HPA axis.

Ashwa.30 is a clinically validated, low-dose ashwagandha extract designed to support endurance, stress resilience and overall well-being—all backed by advanced science.

NIE: The company recently released a study that shows that Holixer delivers sleep support. Talk about the study.

Suresh: Holixer is a plant-based, clinically evidenced solution shown to improve occasional sleeplessness without causing next-day grogginess or forming habits. What sets it apart is its focus on sleep microarchitecture, specifically, its impact on the cyclic alternating pattern, or CAP cycle, a key marker of sleep quality.

In a recent clinical study, Holixer increased CAP-A1 rates, which are linked to deeper, more stable non-REM sleep and fewer nighttime awakenings. Participants fell asleep faster, slept more efficiently and reported better sleep quality within two weeks. They also showed improved cognitive performance the next day, highlighting the extract’s ability to enhance sleep without impairing alertness; and an improvement in sleep latency, meaning participants fell asleep more quickly.

NIE: Please describe Natural Remedies’ sustainability efforts.

Suresh: Natural Remedies integrates environmental, social and governance principles across its operations, with a strong emphasis on sustainable sourcing, responsible manufacturing and community impact.

Nearly all our branded product herbs are cultivated using Good Agricultural and Cultivation Practices, significantly reducing carbon emissions through non-fossil fuel techniques. The company partners with local farmers to ensure traceability, ethical sourcing and fair trade, and is one of the few in India certified Fair for Life by Ecocert. Our HerbSecure program supports more than 1 million farming families and more than 400 farmers growing on 560 hectares, strengthening both supply chains and rural communities.

Natural Remedies has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030. To date, 60 percent of our energy already comes from renewable sources such as hydro and solar, with a goal of reaching 75 percent. Our facilities follow rigorous waste management protocols, recycling 25 tons of plastic and diverting 68 metric tons of waste from landfills each year. A Zero Liquid Discharge system ensures no wastewater leaves the Anniyalam plant, which also features rainwater harvesting.

To improve energy efficiency, we have installed 400 kilowatts of rooftop solar, implemented variable frequency drives, and designed its facilities with natural lighting, ventilation and LED systems—achieving a 10 percent year-over-year reduction in energy consumption. Our extraction facility in Anniyalam has also been awarded Green Building Certification by the Indian Green Building Council for its use of sustainable materials and eco-friendly design.
