AIDP Partners With Life Bridge to Market Prebiotic Ingredient
AIDP, Inc. (City of Industry, CA) has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Life Bridge International to market its prebiotic ingredient. The prebiotic, Prebix, is a GRAS (generally recognized as safe)-notified and Non-GMO (genetically modified organism) Verified corn-based prebiotic that has been shown in clinical studies to significantly increase the proliferation of bifidobacterium in both low and high doses. The prevailing benefit of Prebix is that, contrary to probiotics, it is highly stable (does not require refrigeration), and can be used in food and beverages. Compared to other prebiotics, it can be used in small doses and thus reduces the chance of bloating.
Frank Fang, CEO/owner of Life Bridge International (Riverside, CA), and vice general manager at Shandong Longlive Bio-technology Co Ltd. (Shandong, China), said, “Life Bridge is very enthusiastic about our relationship with AIDP. We have been searching for a partner in the U.S. who has a proven track record in marketing premium functional ingredients, and one who understands and can navigate the challenges of bringing a prebiotic to market. We look forward to a fruitful relationship with AIDP.”
AIDP, which has had great success with ingredients for cognitive health (Magtein), joint health (KoACT) and an impressive portfolio of protein ingredients, has been eyeing the digestive health segment as a natural next step in expanding its business.
“Digestive health is a huge market, and we wanted to enter with a strong ingredient, backed by solid science from a reputable manufacturer,” said Edward Lee, founder and president of AIDP, Inc. “We’re thrilled to begin this partnership with Life Bridge. The new ingredient shows immense promise in its functionality and versatility in food and beverage manufacturing.”
