BioVivo Science has announced the grand opening of its state-of-the-art botanical extraction and toll processing facility in Jeffersonville, IN—the newest and largest of its kind in the United States, according to the company. This milestone marks a significant step toward strengthening global supply chains, driving local innovation, and supporting the booming U.S. dietary supplement, food, beverage, personal care and pet nutrition industries.
Despite the U.S. being home to one of the world’s largest dietary supplement and functional ingredient markets, large-scale domestic botanical extraction capabilities have been scarce. For decades, brands have been forced to ship American-grown crops overseas for extraction and processing—only to re-import them as finished ingredients. BioVivo Science said that it is closing this gap with a U.S.-based solution designed to ensure transparency, reliability and reduced supply-chain risk.
