NIE: Please describe Prinova’s recent innovations.
Street: We know that accelerating time to market is important for our customers, so we are heavily focused on innovation in market-ready blends. Rather than starting new product development from scratch, brands can use our market-ready blends as a ready-made solution that can also be tailored for the specific needs of their target audience.
We provide dry and liquid premixes and market-ready solutions for a wide range of applications. These include beverages, bars, meal supplements and replacements, sports and lifestyle nutrition, dairy, cereals, flour fortification, infant and early life nutrition, oil and fat fortification, nutritional supplements and personal care. Our premix manufacturing facilities are located on three continents to serve global consumers. They share standardized production and quality systems, reducing time and costs for multi-site approvals, with uniform processes and customer interfaces at each manufacturing site assuring consistency.
NIE: The company achieved the Silver Medal from EcoVadis. What do achievements like this mean for Prinova?
Street: Prinova Europe’s EcoVadis Silver Medal puts us in the top 15 percent of companies for managing sustainability, and demonstrates we are making meaningful progress on the sustainability issues that matter most to our business and stakeholders. We also received an increased U.S. EcoVadis rating from Silver to Gold in 2025. Together, these achievements provide valuable external validation of our efforts and give our customers, suppliers and partners confidence in the actions we are taking.
EcoVadis assessment provides an important benchmark that allows us to measure our sustainability performance against both our peers and leading companies across industries worldwide. It ensures we remain part of a global community that is challenging the status quo and continuously raising the bar for responsible business practices. Importantly, the assessment is not only about recognizing achievements—it also helps us identify opportunities for further improvements. Sustainability is an evolving journey, and the insights gained through EcoVadis help us continually reassess where to focus our resources to create the greatest impact and drive long-term value.
NIE: In 2025, Prinova acquired Aplinova. How has the acquisition expanded the company’s global presence?
Street: Aplinova, now Prinova Brazil, has been a key player in the increasingly important Brazilian ingredients market for many years. Its acquisition was a crucial step in our long-term mission to expand our global footprint. We already had a presence in the region, including having taken over Brazilian citrus oil processor Flavor Tec in 2023. Adding Aplinova to our portfolio has significantly expanded our capabilities to meet the needs of our LatAm customers. At a time when consumer-driven demand for healthy and functional products has never been higher, the opportunities this acquisition creates are incredibly exciting. It will bring significant benefits to manufacturers both in the LatAm region and worldwide.
NIE: Talk about some of Prinova’s environmental priorities and sustainability practices.
Street: Sustainability has long been a priority for Prinova and is embedded throughout our business, from our day-to-day operations to how we collaborate with customers and suppliers across our value chain. Environmental stewardship is a core pillar of our sustainability strategy, with a strong focus on reducing our CO2 footprint and supporting the transition to a lower-carbon future.
To drive measurable progress, we have set ambitious science-based targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These targets commit us to reducing our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42 percent, and our Scope 3 emissions by 25 percent, by 2030. Achieving these goals requires action across multiple areas of the business. For example, we have invested in solar panel installations at facilities in both the U.K. and China, increasing our use of self-generated renewable energy and reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
Alongside initiatives like these, we continue to evaluate opportunities to improve energy efficiency, engage our supply chain, and reduce emissions throughout our operations. In the next five years, for example, our U.S. team plans to realize a 5 percent reduction in energy consumption. This will be achieved by upgrading our heating and cooling systems, installing air curtains on dock doors, and increasing the use of sensor lighting. We also aim to reduce paper consumption by 30 percent and improve the collection of recyclable waste. In addition, we are committed to biodiversity preservation, with our teams in Europe and the U.S. working to implement accredited organic supply chains for a range of ingredients and manufactured products. Ultimately, our focus is on delivering meaningful environmental improvements while creating long-term value for our customers, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.
