Milk Specialties Global Acquires Wisconsin Facility
Milk Specialties Global (Eden Prairie, MN) announced that it has acquired the Saputo facility in Monroe, WI.
This acquisition will allow Milk Specialties to grow its whey protein ingredients through the company’s advanced Ultrafiltration process, while enhancing Milk Specialties commitment to its strategic supply partners. The Monroe facility is a whey processing plant located in a favorable location for cheese producers.
“This investment will support our ongoing commitment to our valued whey suppliers to provide a consistent market for whey protein,” stated Tom Benson, senior vice president of strategic sourcing and risk management for Milk Specialties. “Investing in an area that is soaked with a proud cheese making tradition will allow both our cheese makers and Milk Specialties to continue to grow.”
Currently, Milk Specialties has nine certified manufacturing facilities spread across the Midwest and California. The Monroe facility and its 14 employees will join the industry-leading manufacturer as the tenth facility location, further supporting the company’s next level of growth.
